movie reviews

i really really love horror movies so there will be more of those. i made it my mission to watch every virus horror movie i could get my hands on as well, so there will be lots of those.

WARNING: i enjoy everything. it is very rare for me to straight up not like a movie. i love shitty movies i have horrible taste come kill me!

House of 1000 Corspes (2003)

this is my comfort and favorite movie !!! i'm not sure why. probably because of the firefly family ... i really like otis and spaulding ... 🤤
i also first watched it when i was going through some tough stuff , so i guess the distraction from that made me attached to it ? not sure.
it's a great movie though, very strange, very weird, would recommend if you like weird ass movies. this is also the only movie i have bought for myself

Marty Supreme (2025)

i watched this movie with light ! it was very interesting ... i didn't know if i wanted marty to succeed or not because he was such a horrible man. which means this movie has great writing. also timothée chalamet gets spanked. that's what hooked me so maybe it'll hook you too 😭 AND THE CREDITS. both the intro and ending credits killed me
there are sex scenes by the way! unfortunately i was dying from period cramps while watching so i can't give a super in depth description of things but it was very entertaining and i was invested x3

Together (2025)

i also watched this with light :3 this movie stressed me outttt ! but so do most horror movies ... it was very good. the whole plot is pretty unique and surprised me. would recommend if you like horror movies with weird gimmicks.
there is a sex scene! pinned message born from this film : "do they turn non binary"

The Sadness (2021)

before i say ANYTHING this movie is extremely 18+, there is sex there is blood there is bloody sex. a big part of this movie is that the virus makes people act on their darkest desires. which includes RAPE!!! there is rape.
that being said this sounds pretty bad but i love this movie. it's really fucked up and i kinda appreciate it? it's very shock value heavy, but the fact that it's the whole point of the movie makes it less annoying.
while this movie has the (imo) overused trope of two people trying to reunite in an apocalyptic setting, i like how it's done! it shows both of their struggles and the things that change them along the way, and when they do finally reunite, it's different from other movies like that! i won't say anything else x3
i also really enjoy the main antagonist. he's different from the other infected who cry because of what their bodies are doing-- he is happy as hell !

28 Days Later (2002)

i need to rewatch this movie again because i keep forgetting how it makes me feel, but it's good ! it's a very good zombie movie, classic, and scared me a lot when i was a kid. the last act is very satisfying and i love the stress the first half of the movie gives me x3

28 Weeks Later (2007)

I LOVE THIS MOVIE !!!!!! words cannot express the joy this film brings me. it is so tragic. i love big tragic events. big outbreaks. omg. please. ESPECIALLY when the tragic event is completely avoidable and caused by ONE man's selfish actions. it's so amazing. just watch the damn movie i can't rant without having to put a spoiler over this. the music is SO GOOD. the intro is SO GOOD. the entire thing is SO GOOD.

28 Years later (2021)

this is one of the few movies i DON'T like. i think most of it comes me having too high of expectations, though. as it's part of the 28 Days Later series, i DID have certain expectations, especially building off of 28 Weeks Later. sadly, they completely ignored 28 Weeks Later's ending !!! i was really hoping they would address it somehow because i LOVED what it meant for the world, but they just changed it.
but that's okay, i can ignore that! maybe the rest of the movie is good ... eeehhh ... it had the feel of a new horror movie too scared to be as dark as the previous two. it felt like they felt obligated to put in some big moral of the story kinda thing, and it felt very weird ... in my opinion. if this was marketed as it's own zombie movie i probably would have been fine with it, but it was not like the previous two at all. WHICH, i understand, it's 28 YEARS later. there's not gonna any fresh virus outbreak, i know, but i was expecting the mood to at least be the same. the intro definitely met that, but the rest of the movie didn't.
and i do NOT want to talk about that fuckass ending DON'T PLAY WITH ME. what the hell 😭 (negative)
also there is zombie dick . warning

The Wailing (2016)

i need to rewatch this one ... this movie is beautiful though ! it's very well written and has lots of religious influence, which i really like x3. if my memory is correct there's also themes of discrimination. the camerawork itself is so pretty and i loved so many parts, both with pacing and music and everythinggg. unless you pay extremely close attention to everything, you'd probably have to rewatch it to fully understand it, like i did x3. as i said, the writing is very well done and hides a lot of details in minor things. the ending is also verryryyyy good imo.

Train to Busan (2016)

dude i might be dramatic but this movie made me tear up at like. 7 different points. the writing is amazing and the characters are so well done. their development and personalities and everything are so well acted and it BROKE MY HEART !!!!!!!! and the zombie bit itself is very fucking scary. i mean they're trapped in a little train surrounded by and full of zombies. i would HATE to be in this movie. but i loooove watching it x333
